Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 2 cups Mushrooms (sliced)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup Dry white wine
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 0.5 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
  • 2 tablespoons Balsamic glaze

Directions

Step 1

Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.

Step 2

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken breasts and sear until golden brown on each side, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and melt the butter. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and turn golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.

Step 4

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Step 5

Sprinkle the flour over the mushrooms and garlic, stirring to coat evenly. Cook for 1 minute to remove the raw flour taste.

Step 6

Slowly pour in the white wine, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze and release any browned bits. Let the wine simmer for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.

Step 7

Add the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer.

Step 8

Return the seared chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning some of the sauce over the top. Cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Step 9

Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper, if needed.

Step 10

Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the chicken and drizzle each chicken breast with balsamic glaze before serving.

Step 11

Serve the tuxedo chicken with your choice of side dishes, such as steamed vegetables, rice, or mashed potatoes. Enjoy!
