Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 inch piece fresh ginger root
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 whole cinnamon stick
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Directions

Step 1

Start by peeling the inch piece of fresh ginger. Slice it thinly to help release more flavor into the tea.

In a small saucepan, pour in the 2 cups of water and add the sliced ginger.

Add 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder to the saucepan with the water and ginger.

Step 4

Break the cinnamon stick in half and add it to the mixture.

Sprinkle in a pinch of black pepper. This will enhance the absorption of the beneficial compounds found in turmeric.
