Ingredients

  • 1 cup wild rice
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 cups cooked turkey breast, shredded or diced

  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the wild rice under cold water until the water runs clear.

In a medium saucepan, combine the wild rice and 3 cups of water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to a simmer and cover. Cook for 40-45 minutes, or until the rice is tender and most of the grains have split open. Drain any excess water and let the rice cool completely.
