Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese slices
  • 4 pieces burger buns
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 leaves lettuce
  • 1 large tomato
  • 0.25 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently with your hands until the ingredients are evenly distributed.

Step 2

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty about 1/2 inch thick.

Step 3

Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat and add the olive oil. Once hot, place the turkey patties into the pan.

Step 4

Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on top of each patty and cover the pan to allow the cheese to melt.

Step 5

While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns lightly in another skillet or in a toaster oven until golden brown.

Step 6

Slice the tomato into thin rounds.

Step 7

In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard to create a creamy spread.

Step 8

To assemble the burgers, spread the mayonnaise-Dijon mixture on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a lettuce leaf, a few slices of tomato, and a turkey patty with melted Swiss cheese. Finish with the top half of the bun.

Step 9

Serve the Turkey Swiss Burgers immediately, with your favorite sides or toppings if desired.
