Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground turkey

  • 2 tbsp Hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp Ginger, grated
  • 1 cup Water chestnuts, chopped
  • 3 Green onions, sliced
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 12 leaves Butter or Romaine lettuce leaves
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha or chili garlic sauce (optional, for serving)

Directions

Step 1

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the finely diced onion to the skillet and sauté for 2-3 minutes, until softened.

Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the ground turkey and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.

Stir in the grated carrot, water chestnuts, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and rice vinegar. Cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to combine.
