Ingredients

  • 2 cans (5 oz each) canned tuna
  • 8 pieces flour tortillas
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1.5 cups green enchilada sauce
  • 3 stalks green onions
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or cooking spray

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with olive oil or cooking spray.

Step 2

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, cream cheese, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until the filling is smooth and creamy.

Step 3

Place a flour tortilla on a clean surface. Spoon about 2-3 tablespoons of the tuna mixture down the center of the tortilla. Roll the tortilla tightly and place it seam-side down in the prepared baking dish. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.

Step 4

Once all the tortillas are filled and arranged in the dish, pour the green enchilada sauce evenly over them, ensuring they are fully covered.

Step 5

Dollop sour cream over the sauce in small spoonfuls, and then sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the top.

Step 6

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 7

While the Tunachiladas are baking, chop the green onions and cilantro for garnish.

Step 8

Remove the dish from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with the chopped green onions and cilantro before serving.

Step 9

Serve warm with additional sour cream or a side of guacamole, if desired. Enjoy your flavorful Tunachiladas!
