Ingredients

  • 340 grams canned tuna
  • 285 grams canned sweet corn
  • 250 grams pasta (penne, fusilli, or shells)
  • 300 ml cream of mushroom soup
  • 120 ml milk
  • 150 grams grated cheddar cheese
  • 50 grams breadcrumbs
  • 30 grams unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F) and grease a medium-sized baking dish with olive oil.

Step 2

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, combine the canned tuna (drained), canned sweet corn (drained), cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

Step 4

Add the cooked pasta to the bowl and gently toss until the pasta is evenly coated with the creamy tuna mixture.

Step 5

Transfer the mixture into the greased baking dish, spreading it out into an even layer.

Step 6

Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.

Step 7

In a small pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the breadcrumbs and stir until they are golden and toasted, about 2 minutes.

Step 8

Sprinkle the toasted breadcrumbs over the cheese layer, then sprinkle with parsley if using.

Step 9

Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling, and the top is golden brown.

Step 10

Remove from the oven and allow the casserole to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
