Ingredients

  • 12 oz Fettuccine pasta
  • 3 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 small Black truffle
  • 1 tbsp Black truffle oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Chopped fresh parsley

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions, until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta cooking water, then drain the pasta.

Step 2

While the pasta is cooking, heat a large pan over medium heat and add the unsalted butter.

Step 3

Once the butter is melted, pour in the heavy cream and stir for 2-3 minutes until it comes to a slight simmer.

Step 4

Reduce heat to low, add the grated Parmesan cheese, and stir until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth.

Step 5

Shave the black truffle over the cream sauce using a truffle slicer or a microplane. Stir in the black truffle oil and mix well.

Step 6

Add the cooked fettuccine to the pan with the sauce, tossing gently to coat the pasta evenly. If the sauce is too thick, use some of the reserved pasta water to thin it out to desired consistency.

Step 7

Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste, tossing again to combine.
