Ingredients

  • 500 g Wholemeal flour
  • 350 ml Warm water
  • 7 g Active dry yeast

  • 30 g Pumpkin seeds
  • 20 g Wheat bran (optional)
  • 1 serving Egg wash (1 egg mixed with 1 tbsp water, for brushing)
  • 20 g Additional rolled oats or seeds for topping

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water and honey (or maple syrup). Sprinkle the active dry yeast over the top and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.

Once the yeast is activated, stir in the olive oil and salt.

Gradually add the wholemeal flour to the wet ingredients, mixing until the dough begins to come together.
