Ingredients

  • 4 pcs whole trout (cleaned and gutted)
  • 16 pcs bacon strips
  • 2 pcs lemon
  • 4 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 4 cloves garlic (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Rinse the trout inside and out under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel.

Step 3

Season the inside of each trout with a light sprinkle of salt and pepper.

Step 4

Slice one lemon thinly and insert 2-3 slices into the cavity of each trout along with 1 sprig of fresh rosemary and 1 sliced clove of garlic.

Lightly drizzle olive oil over the outside of each trout and rub to coat evenly.

Step 6

Wrap each trout with 4 strips of bacon, overlapping slightly to cover the fish. Secure the bacon strips with toothpicks if needed.
