  • 2 cups Cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 cup Canned refried beans
  • 6 medium Tomatillos
  • 0.5 cups Fresh cilantro

  • 1 large Lime
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 large Avocado
  • 2 cups Shredded lettuce
  • 0.5 cups Crumbled queso fresco
  • 0.25 cups Sour cream

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) to warm up the tostadas if desired, for about 5 minutes.

Prepare the salsa verde: Remove husks from the tomatillos and rinse them to remove the sticky residue. Boil the tomatillos in a pot of water for 5 minutes or until softened. Drain and let cool slightly.

In a blender, combine boiled tomatillos, fresh cilantro, jalapeño, garlic cloves, white onion, lime juice, and salt. Blend until smooth. Adjust seasoning as needed and set aside.
