Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French baguette
  • 4 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 large Garlic cloves
  • 2 cups Cherry tomatoes
  • 10 leaves Fresh basil leaves
  • 2 teaspoons Balsamic vinegar
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch slices, creating about 12 pieces. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet.

Step 3

Brush each slice with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, using about half of the olive oil quantity.

Step 4

Bake the bread slices in the preheated oven for 7–10 minutes, or until golden and crisp. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly.

While the bread is toasting, dice the cherry tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a medium-sized bowl.

Finely chop the fresh basil leaves and add them to the bowl with the tomatoes.

Mince 1 garlic clove and mix it into the tomato and basil mixture.
