Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons Tomato paste
  • 5 pieces Garlic cloves
  • 1 inch, grated Fresh ginger
  • 2 teaspoons Ground coriander
  • 2 teaspoons Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Ground turmeric
  • 1.5 teaspoons Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon Chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons, chopped Fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons Water

Directions

Step 1

Peel the garlic cloves and grate the fresh ginger.

Step 2

In a small pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.

Step 3

Add the garlic and ginger to the pan and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Reduce the heat to low and add the ground coriander, ground cumin, ground turmeric, paprika, garam masala, and chili powder. Stir constantly for 1 minute to toast the spices.

Transfer the mixture to a blender or food processor.

Add the tomato paste, lemon juice, plain yogurt, salt, fresh cilantro, and water to the blender.
