Ingredients

  • 750 ml Red wine (preferably a fruity variety like Tempranillo, Garnacha, or Merlot)
  • 200 ml Orange juice (freshly squeezed is best)
  • 100 ml Brandy
  • 50 ml Simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 250 ml Sparkling water or soda water
  • 1 whole Orange
  • 1 whole Lemon
  • 1 whole Lime
  • 1 whole Apple (preferably a crisp variety like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 100 g Fresh berries (such as strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries)
  • 1 whole Cinnamon stick
  • 300 g Ice cubes

Directions

Step 1

Slice the orange, lemon, lime, and apple into thin wedges or slices, removing any seeds. Place the fruit slices into a large pitcher.

Step 2

Add the fresh berries and the cinnamon stick to the pitcher along with the sliced fruit.

Step 3

Pour in the red wine, orange juice, and brandy. Stir gently to combine the ingredients.

Step 4

Add the simple syrup to the pitcher, starting with 50 ml. Taste and adjust according to your desired level of sweetness.

Step 5

Cover the pitcher and place it in the refrigerator. Let the sangria chill for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld. For best results, chill for 4-6 hours or overnight.

Step 6

Before serving, add the sparkling water or soda water to the sangria and give it a gentle stir.

Step 7

Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the sangria over the ice, making sure to include some of the fruit in each glass.

Step 8

Optional: Garnish with a fresh orange slice or a sprig of mint for an extra touch of elegance.

Step 9

Serve immediately and enjoy!
