  • 1 lb Ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Freshly ground black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 4 slice Cheddar cheese slices
  • 2 Hamburger buns
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 4 slice Thick-cut bacon
  • 0.5 cup Caramelized onions
  • 4 slice Pickles
  • 2 Lettuce leaves
  • 4 Tomato slices
  • 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp Ketchup
  • 1 tsp Hot sauce (optional)

Directions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Divide the mixture into four equal parts and shape them into thin, uniform patties.

Step 2

Preheat a large skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the bacon slices until crispy, then transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.

Step 3

Lightly butter the inside of each hamburger bun and toast them in the skillet or on the grill until golden brown. Set aside.

Step 4
