  • 1 medium Frozen banana
  • 1 medium Green apple (cored and chopped)
  • 1 medium Cucumber (peeled and sliced)
  • 0.25 cup Fresh parsley or cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup Water
  • 4 pieces Ice cubes
  • 1 tablespoon Optional: Chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoons Optional: Honey or maple syrup (for sweetness)

Directions

Step 1

Rinse all fresh produce thoroughly under cold water.

Step 2

Peel the banana and cucumber. Remove the core from the apple and chop it into small pieces for easier blending.

Step 3

In a blender, combine the spinach, kale, chopped apple, cucumber, banana, parsley or cilantro, and lemon juice.

Pour in the water and add the ice cubes to the blender.

Step 5

For extra texture and nutrition, add chia seeds to the mixture. If you like your drink sweeter, add honey or maple syrup.

Step 7

Taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness or lemon juice as desired.

Step 8

Pour into two glasses immediately and serve chilled.
