Ingredients

  • 400 grams Chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup Thai basil leaves, loosely packed
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 pieces Red chili, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 4 servings Cooked jasmine rice

Directions

Step 1

Prepare all ingredients before beginning to cook: slice the chicken, mince the garlic, and thinly slice the chilies.

Step 2

In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, and sugar. Stir well to dissolve the sugar and set aside.

Step 3

Heat a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the vegetable oil and let it heat up for a few seconds.

Step 4

Add the minced garlic and sliced chilies to the wok. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

Step 5

Add the sliced chicken to the wok and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and no longer pink.

Step 6

Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and stir well to coat all pieces evenly. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.

Step 7

Turn off the heat and add the Thai basil leaves to the wok. Stir them into the chicken until the basil wilts and releases its aroma.

Step 8

Serve the Thai Chicken with Basil immediately over a bed of cooked jasmine rice.
