Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Tilapia fillets
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 2 tablespoons All-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 3 pieces Garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 0.25 cup Chicken broth (or water)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped

Directions

Step 1

Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix the salt, ground black pepper, and paprika. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over both sides of the tilapia fillets.

Step 3

Lightly coat the tilapia fillets in the all-purpose flour, shaking off any excess. This will give the fish a beautiful golden crust when cooked.

Step 4

Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.

Step 5

Add the tilapia fillets to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked through. Remove the fillets from the skillet and set aside on a plate.

Step 6

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low and add the unsalted butter. Allow it to melt completely.

Step 7

Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds, being careful not to burn it.

Step 8

Add the lemon juice and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until it slightly thickens.

Step 9

Return the cooked tilapia fillets to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the fish to coat them evenly.

Step 10

Sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley over the tilapia and serve immediately. Optionally, pair it with steamed vegetables, rice, or a fresh green salad.
