Ingredients

  • 500 grams Beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 0.25 cup Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons Water
  • 6 pieces Tortillas or wraps
  • 1 medium Carrot, julienned
  • 1 medium Cucumber, julienned
  • 6 pieces Lettuce leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds
  • 2 stalks Green onions, sliced

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger. Mix until the sugar is dissolved.

Step 2

In a separate small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry.

Step 3

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef slices and cook for 3-4 minutes, until lightly browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Step 4

In the same skillet, add the soy sauce mixture and bring it to a simmer. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens. Return the beef to the skillet, toss to coat with the sauce, and cook for another minute. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 5

Warm the tortillas or wraps in a dry skillet or microwave for a few seconds to make them pliable.

Step 6

Assemble the wraps by placing a lettuce leaf on each tortilla, followed by a portion of the teriyaki beef, julienned carrots, cucumber, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds and green onions.

Step 7

Roll the wraps tightly, tucking in the sides as you go, and serve immediately. Enjoy your Teriyaki Beef Wraps!
