Ingredients

  • 2 pieces Black tea bags
  • 2 cups Water
  • 2 ounces Dark rum
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 piece Cinnamon stick
  • 2 pieces Clove
  • 1 pinch Nutmeg
  • 1 piece Lemon slice
  • 1 piece Optional: Orange peel

Directions

Step 1

In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.

Step 2

Add the black tea bags, cinnamon stick, clove, and optional orange peel (if using). Reduce the heat to low and let steep for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Remove the tea bags and strain the spices using a fine mesh strainer, if desired.

Step 4

Stir in honey, lemon juice, and a pinch of nutmeg until fully dissolved.

Step 5

Add the dark rum and stir gently to combine. Be careful not to boil after adding the rum.
