Ingredients

  • 2.5 pounds Pork spareribs
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 cup Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 0.5 teaspoon Chili flakes

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

Step 2

Remove the membrane from the back of the spareribs and pat dry with paper towels.

Step 3

In a small bowl, mix salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and brown sugar to create a dry rub.

Step 4

Rub the mixture generously over the spareribs, coating all sides.

Step 5

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, bone-side down, and cover tightly with another sheet of foil.

Step 6

Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 hours until the meat is tender.

Step 7

While the ribs are baking, prepare the tangy sauce. In a medium-sized saucepan, combine apple cider vinegar, ketchup, honey, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and chili flakes.

Step 8

Simmer the sauce over medium heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.

Step 9

Once the ribs are done baking, remove them from the oven and increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C).

Step 10

Brush the ribs generously with the tangy sauce on all sides.

Step 11

Place the ribs back in the oven, uncovered, for 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce caramelizes and becomes sticky.

Step 12

Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Step 13

Serve the ribs warm with extra sauce on the side and enjoy!
