Ingredients

  • 500 grams King prawns (peeled and deveined)
  • 120 grams Greek yogurt (full fat)
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger paste
  • 1.5 tablespoons Tandoori masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro (for garnish)
  • 4 pieces Lemon wedges (for serving)

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the king prawns under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, lemon juice, garlic paste, ginger paste, tandoori masala powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, ground cumin, and salt. Mix well to form a smooth marinade.

Step 3

Add the king prawns to the marinade and gently toss to ensure they are evenly coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor.

Step 4

Preheat a grill pan, outdoor grill, or broiler to medium-high heat. Brush with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.

Step 5

Thread the marinated prawns onto metal or pre-soaked wooden skewers for easy handling.

Step 6

Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the prawns turn opaque and are slightly charred on the edges. Remove from heat immediately to avoid overcooking.

Step 7

Transfer the cooked prawns to a serving platter. Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro and serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
