Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons Taco seasoning
  • 0.25 cup Water
  • 4 slices Sourdough bread
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup Shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup Diced tomatoes
  • 4 tablespoons Sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon Hot sauce (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it up into small crumbles with a wooden spoon, about 5-7 minutes.

Once the beef is cooked through, drain any excess grease. Mix in the taco seasoning and water. Stir well and let simmer for 2-3 minutes until the seasoning is fully incorporated. Remove from heat and set aside.

Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread. Place two slices, butter-side down, on a clean cutting board or plate.
