Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 1 packet Taco seasoning
  • 1 can (16 ounces) Refried beans
  • 8 ounces Cream cheese
  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • 1 cup Salsa
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups Shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup Diced tomatoes
  • 0.5 cup Sliced black olives
  • 0.25 cup Green onions, chopped
  • 1 bag Tortilla chips

Directions

Step 1

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until fully browned. Drain any excess fat.

Step 2

Stir in the taco seasoning with 2-3 tablespoons of water (or per packet instructions). Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the meat is coated and the seasoning has thickened. Set aside to cool slightly.

Step 3

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and sour cream. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Step 4

Spread the refried beans evenly onto the bottom of a large serving dish or shallow bowl, creating the first layer.

Step 5

Spread the cream cheese and sour cream mixture over the refried beans as the second layer.

Step 6

Spoon the salsa evenly over the cream cheese mixture as the third layer.

Step 7

Sprinkle the cooked and seasoned ground beef evenly as the fourth layer.

Step 8

Top the ground beef with an even layer of shredded cheddar cheese.

Step 9

Add a layer of shredded lettuce, then sprinkle diced tomatoes, black olives, and green onions evenly on top.

Step 10

Serve immediately with tortilla chips, or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Enjoy!
