Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons Taco seasoning
  • 0.25 cup Water
  • 6 cups Romaine lettuce
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 0.5 Red onion
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups Tortilla chips
  • 0.5 cup Sour cream
  • 0.5 cup Guacamole
  • 0.5 cup Salsa
  • 1 teaspoon Olive oil
  • 0.25 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.

Step 2

Drain any excess fat from the skillet. Stir in the taco seasoning and water, mixing well. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened, then remove from heat.

Step 3

While the beef is cooking, chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.

Step 4

Halve the cherry tomatoes, peel and dice the cucumber, and thinly slice the red onion. Add these vegetables to the salad bowl along with the lettuce.

Step 5

Top the salad with shredded cheddar cheese and crushed tortilla chips.

Step 6

Spoon the cooked and seasoned ground beef over the salad, distributing it evenly.

Step 7

Serve the salad with dollops of sour cream, guacamole, and salsa on top or on the side.

Step 8

Season with a pinch of salt and black pepper, if desired. Toss just before serving, and enjoy immediately!
