Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 1 packet Taco seasoning mix
  • 0.25 cup Water
  • 2 tubes Crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups Romaine lettuce, shredded
  • 1 cup Tomatoes, diced
  • 0.5 cup Sour cream
  • 0.25 cup Black olives, sliced (optional)
  • 0.25 cup Jalapeños, sliced (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a large baking sheet or pizza stone.

Step 2

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.

Step 3

Add the taco seasoning mix and water to the cooked ground beef. Stir to combine and let simmer for 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 4

Unroll both tubes of crescent roll dough and separate the triangles. Arrange the triangles in a circle on the prepared baking sheet, with the wide ends overlapping in the center and the points facing outward to form a sunburst shape.

Step 5

Spread the seasoned ground beef evenly over the overlapping section of the dough near the center of the circle. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the beef.

Step 6

Fold the pointed ends of the dough over the filling, tucking them under the wide ends to secure the ring. Leave small gaps between the dough for ventilation.

Step 7

Bake the taco ring in the preheated oven for 18–22 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and fully cooked.

Step 8

Remove the taco ring from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before transferring it to a serving platter.

Step 9

Fill the center of the taco ring with shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes. Optionally, add sliced black olives and jalapeños.

Step 10

Serve with sour cream on the side for dipping and enjoy!
