Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rye flour

  • 1 large Egg
  • 3 tablespoons Unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon Honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil or butter (for greasing the pan)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the rye flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon (if using).

In a separate medium bowl, combine the buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and honey or maple syrup. Whisk until well blended.
