Ingredients

  • 4 packets Flavored Jello (assorted colors)
  • 2 packets Unflavored gelatin
  • 14 ounces Sweetened condensed milk
  • 8 cups Boiling water
  • 2 cups Cold water

Directions

Step 1

Prepare the first colored Jello layer: Dissolve 1 packet of flavored Jello in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir well to ensure it is fully dissolved, then pour into a 9x13-inch glass dish. Place in the refrigerator to set for 20-30 minutes.

Step 2

While the first layer sets, prepare the white layer: In a mixing bowl, dissolve 1 packet of unflavored gelatin in 1/2 cup of cold water. Let it sit for 5 minutes, then add 1/2 cup of boiling water and stir until dissolved. Mix in half of the can of sweetened condensed milk and stir until smooth. Let the mixture cool to room temperature.

Step 3

Once the first Jello layer is set, gently pour a layer of the white mixture over it. Return the dish to the refrigerator and let it set for 20-30 minutes.

Step 4

Repeat these steps alternating between colored Jello layers and white layers. Use a different flavor for each colored layer to create the ribbon effect. Allow each layer to fully set before adding the next.

Step 5

After the final layer is added, refrigerate the dish for at least 4-6 hours, or until the entire dessert is firm and fully set.

Step 6

To serve, slice the Ribbon Jello into squares or rectangles using a sharp knife. Clean the knife between cuts for clean edges.
