Ingredients

  • 3 oz package Blueberry Jello
  • 3 oz package Strawberry Jello
  • 1 envelope (about 0.25 oz) Unflavored Gelatin
  • 14 oz can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 4 cups Boiling Water
  • 2 cups Cold Water
  • 1 cup (optional for topping) Whipped Cream
  • 1 cup (for decoration) Blueberries
  • 1 cup (for decoration) Sliced Strawberries

Directions

Step 1

Step 1: Prepare the blueberry jello layer. In a medium bowl, dissolve the blueberry jello mix in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved, about 2 minutes.

Step 2

Step 2: Add 1/2 cup of cold water to the blueberry jello mixture and stir well. Pour the mixture into a 9x13-inch glass baking dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until fully set.

Step 3

Step 3: While the blueberry layer is setting, prepare the white creamy layer. In a small bowl, sprinkle the unflavored gelatin over 1/2 cup of cold water to bloom for 5 minutes.

Step 4

Step 4: Add 1 cup of boiling water to the bloomed gelatin and stir until dissolved. Then mix in the sweetened condensed milk and stir until smooth. Let the mixture cool to room temperature.

Step 5

Step 5: Carefully pour the white creamy mixture over the set blueberry layer. Use the back of a spoon to pour the mixture slowly and evenly to avoid disturbing the bottom layer. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until fully set.

Step 6

Step 6: Prepare the strawberry jello layer. In a medium bowl, dissolve the strawberry jello mix in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved, about 2 minutes.

Step 7

Step 7: Add 1/2 cup of cold water to the strawberry jello mixture and stir well. Let the mixture cool slightly, then carefully pour it over the set white creamy layer. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until fully set.

Step 8

Step 8: Once all layers are completely set, decorate the top of the jello flag with whipped cream, blueberries, and sliced strawberries to resemble the American flag. Use blueberries as the blue field in the top-left corner and sliced strawberries as the red stripes.

Step 9

Step 9: Chill the decorated flag dessert until ready to serve. Use a sharp knife to slice into squares and serve cold.
