Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 cup Roasted red peppers
  • 4 slice Slices of white cheddar cheese
  • 0.25 cup Blue cheese crumbles
  • 4 piece Burger buns
  • 1 cup Arugula
  • 0.25 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoon Butter

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the grill or stovetop grill pan to medium-high heat.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently with your hands, being careful not to overwork the meat, then form into 4 evenly sized patties.

Step 3

Lightly grease the grill grates or grill pan with a small amount of oil. Cook the burger patties for 4-5 minutes per side or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

Step 4

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of white cheddar cheese on top of each patty and close the grill lid (if using a grill) to melt the cheese.

Step 5

Toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove and set aside.

Step 6

Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and Dijon mustard to make the sauce.

Step 7

Assemble the burgers: Spread a layer of the mayo-Dijon sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Add a handful of arugula, then place the cooked burger patty with melted cheese on top.

Step 8

Top each burger with a small amount of roasted red peppers and a sprinkle of blue cheese crumbles.

Step 9

Finish by placing the top half of the bun onto each burger. Serve immediately and enjoy your patriotic Red White and Blue Burgers!
