Ingredients

  • 24 pieces Frozen or refrigerated cheese ravioli
  • 3 cups Marinara sauce
  • 2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cups Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup Ricotta cheese
  • 1 large Egg
  • 0.25 cups Fresh basil leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil or non-stick spray

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with olive oil or a non-stick spray.

Step 2

In a medium mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir until smooth and well-blended. Set aside.

Step 3

Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

Step 4

Arrange 12 pieces of ravioli in a single layer over the marinara sauce.

Step 5

Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the ravioli. Sprinkle 1 cup of mozzarella cheese and 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese on top of the ricotta mixture.

Step 6

Repeat the layers, starting with another cup of marinara sauce, followed by the remaining ravioli, ricotta mixture, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, and 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese.

Step 7

Top the final layer with the remaining marinara sauce and sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese evenly across the surface.

Step 8

Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.

Step 9

After 25 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese on top is melted and bubbly.

Step 10

Remove from the oven and let the lasagna cool for 5-10 minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped basil leaves before serving.

Step 11

Slice and serve warm with a side salad or garlic bread for a complete Italian-inspired meal.
