Ingredients

  • 8 lbs Bone-in spiral-cut ham
  • 1.5 cups Raspberry jam
  • 0.5 cups Honey
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
  • 1.5 tsp Black pepper, freshly cracked
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp Ground cloves
  • 1 cup Water

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).

Step 2

Remove the ham from its packaging and place it cut-side down in a large roasting pan. Add 1 cup of water to the bottom of the pan to prevent the ham from drying out.

Step 3

Cover the ham tightly with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour 30 minutes (or approximately 15 minutes per pound of ham).

Step 4

While the ham is baking, prepare the glaze. In a medium saucepan, combine the raspberry jam, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, black pepper, garlic powder, and ground cloves. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is smooth and well combined, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 5

After the ham has baked for 1 hour 30 minutes, remove it from the oven and discard the foil. Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C).

Step 6

Generously brush the raspberry pepper glaze all over the surface of the ham, making sure to get into the folds of the spiral slices.

Step 7

Return the ham to the oven, uncovered, and bake for another 20-30 minutes, basting with additional glaze every 10 minutes, until the glaze is caramelized and slightly sticky.

Step 8

Remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Step 9

Serve warm and enjoy the sweet and spicy flavors of the raspberry pepper glazed ham.
