Ingredients

  • 6 cups Water
  • 4 pieces Black tea bags
  • 1 cup Fresh raspberries
  • 15 pieces Fresh spearmint leaves
  • 3 tablespoons Honey
  • 2 cups Ice cubes
  • 4 pieces Lemon slices (optional, for garnish)
  • 0.25 cup Additional raspberries (optional, for garnish)
  • 5 pieces Additional mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan.

Step 2

Once the water reaches a boil, remove it from heat and add the black tea bags. Let the tea steep for 5 minutes.

Step 3

While the tea is steeping, lightly mash the fresh raspberries in a bowl using a fork or spoon. This helps release their juices.

Step 4

After 5 minutes, remove the tea bags and stir in the honey until fully dissolved.

Step 5

Add the mashed raspberries and the fresh spearmint leaves to the tea. Stir gently to combine, then let the mixture sit for 10 minutes to infuse the flavors.

Step 6

Strain the tea through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove the raspberry seeds and mint leaves.

Step 7

Add 2 cups of cold water to the pitcher to dilute the tea and allow it to cool further. Stir to combine.

Step 8

Fill serving glasses with ice cubes and pour the raspberry and spearmint iced tea over the ice.

Step 9

Garnish each glass with a lemon slice, a few whole raspberries, and a mint leaf, if desired.

Step 10

Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing Raspberry and Spearmint Iced Tea!
