Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.25 cup breadcrumbs
  • 4 pieces hamburger buns
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese slices
  • 4 pieces lettuce leaves
  • 4 slices tomato slices
  • 4 tablespoons ranch dressing

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ranch seasoning mix, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, ground black pepper, egg, and breadcrumbs.

Step 2

Using your hands, gently mix all the ingredients until fully incorporated. Be careful not to overmix to keep the burgers tender.

Step 3

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties about ¾ inch thick.

Step 4

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates or pan to prevent sticking.

Step 5

Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) for well-done burgers.

Step 6

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover to let it melt.

Step 7

Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or a separate skillet until golden brown, if desired.

Step 8

Assemble the burgers by spreading 1 tablespoon of ranch dressing on the bottom bun. Add a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, a cheesy burger patty, and top it with the upper bun.

Step 9

Serve immediately with your favorite sides such as fries, coleslaw, or a light salad.
