Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups all-purpose baking mix (such as Bisquick)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0 nonstick cooking spray

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly coat it with nonstick cooking spray.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground breakfast sausage and softened cream cheese. Use your hands or a sturdy spoon to thoroughly mix until well combined.

Step 3

Add the shredded sharp cheddar cheese, all-purpose baking mix, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the sausage mixture. Stir or knead until all ingredients are fully incorporated and the mixture holds together.

Step 4

Using a tablespoon or small cookie scoop, form the mixture into 1 to 1.5-inch balls. Place the sausage balls about 1 inch apart on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 5

Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 160°F/71°C).

Step 6

Remove from the oven and let the sausage balls cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.

Step 7

Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch dressing or spicy mustard. Enjoy!
