Ingredients

  • 6 cups Fresh peaches
  • 3 tablespoons Granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoons Salt
  • 1.5 cups Old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 0.75 cups Brown sugar
  • 0.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cups Butter (cold, unsalted)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease an 8x8-inch baking dish or similar-sized dish.

Step 2

Peel and slice the fresh peaches into thin wedges and place them in a large mixing bowl.

Step 3

Add 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt to the peaches. Toss gently to coat and transfer the peach mixture to the prepared baking dish.

Step 4

In another bowl, combine the rolled oats, 3/4 cup of brown sugar, and 1/2 cup of flour. Mix well.

Step 5

Cut the cold butter into small cubes and add it to the dry mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingertips to combine until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Step 6

Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract into the crumble topping mixture, then evenly sprinkle it over the peaches in the baking dish.

Step 7

Bake for 30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peach juices are bubbling around the edges.

Step 8

Remove the peach crisp from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream!
