Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fresh grated coconut
  • 2 tablespoons Roasted chana dal (dalia)
  • 1 piece Green chili
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 cup Cold water
  • 1 teaspoon Vegetable oil
  • 0.5 teaspoons Mustard seeds
  • 1 piece Dried red chili
  • 6 leaves Curry leaves

Directions

Step 1

In a blender, combine grated coconut, roasted chana dal, green chili, ginger, salt, and cold water.

Step 2

Blend until the mixture forms a smooth paste. Add a little more water if necessary to achieve desired consistency.

Step 3

Transfer the chutney to a serving bowl and set aside.

In a small pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
