Ingredients

  • 9 pieces Lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 24 ounces Marinara sauce
  • 1 cup Ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Italian seasoning

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the lasagna noodles until al dente, about 8 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Step 3

In a medium skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it up with a spatula. Drain any excess grease and stir in the marinara sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes and set aside.

Step 4

In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until well blended.

Spread 1/2 cup of the meat sauce evenly in the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Place 3 cooked lasagna noodles over the sauce, slightly overlapping if necessary.

Spread 1/3 of the cheese mixture over the noodles, then top with 1/3 of the remaining meat sauce. Repeat the layers two more times, ending with the remaining meat sauce on top.

Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil, making sure it doesn’t touch the cheese, and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
