Ingredients

  • 4 cups Grape juice (100% pure, unsweetened)
  • 3 cups Granulated sugar
  • 1 box (1.75 oz) Powdered fruit pectin

Directions

Step 1

Prepare your jars by washing them with warm soapy water and letting them air dry. Alternatively, sterilize the jars by placing them in boiling water for 10 minutes, then set them aside to dry.

Step 2

In a large saucepan, pour the grape juice. Gradually whisk in the powdered fruit pectin to ensure it dissolves completely.

Step 3

Place the saucepan on medium-high heat and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring frequently to prevent burning.

Step 4

Once the mixture reaches a rolling boil (a boil that doesn’t diminish when stirred), add the granulated sugar all at once.

Step 5

Stir continuously until the sugar dissolves completely and the mixture returns to a rolling boil. Boil for exactly 1 minute while stirring constantly.

Step 6

Remove the saucepan from heat and skim off any foam that may have formed on the surface using a spoon.

Step 7

Carefully ladle the hot jelly into the prepared jars, leaving about 1/4 inch of headspace at the top. Wipe the rims of the jars with a damp paper towel to ensure a clean seal.

Step 8

Seal the jars tightly with lids and allow them to cool at room temperature. The jelly will set as it cools.

Step 9

Once cooled, store the jars in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks or in the freezer for up to 1 year. Allow frozen jelly to thaw in the refrigerator before use.
