Ingredients

  • 2 cups Cooked chicken
  • 1 cup Frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 can Cream of chicken soup
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Dried thyme
  • 1 package Refrigerated pie crust
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Water

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Step 2

Prepare your pie crust by allowing it to come to room temperature for easier handling if needed.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, frozen mixed vegetables, cream of chicken soup, milk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and dried thyme. Stir until well mixed.

Step 4

Unroll one pie crust and press it into a 9-inch pie dish, making sure it fits snugly along the bottom and sides.

Step 5

Spoon the chicken and vegetable filling into the pie crust, spreading it out evenly.

Step 6

Unroll the second pie crust and place it over the top of the filling. Pinch the edges of the top and bottom crusts together to seal, and trim any excess dough.

Step 7

Cut a few small slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape during baking.

Step 8

In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water to create an egg wash. Brush the egg wash over the top crust for a golden finish.

Step 9

Place the pie dish on a baking sheet to catch any potential drips, and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.

Step 10

Remove from the oven and allow the pie to cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
