Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 cup Quaker Old-Fashioned Oats
  • 0.75 cup Milk
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 cup Ketchup (for topping)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Quaker Old-Fashioned Oats, milk, eggs, chopped onion, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Step 3

Use clean hands or a large spoon to mix all ingredients until well combined, but do not overmix as this can make the meatloaf tough.

Step 4

Transfer the mixture to a greased or non-stick loaf pan (approximately 9 x 5 inches) and press it down evenly.

Step 5

Spread the ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf to form a glaze.

Step 6

Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Step 7

Once cooked, remove the meatloaf from the oven and allow it to rest for 5-10 minutes to make slicing easier.

Step 8

Carefully slice the meatloaf and serve warm with your favorite side dishes, such as mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.
