Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Whole milk
  • 3 pieces Large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered sugar (for garnish)
  • 1 cup Fresh berries or fruits (optional)
  • 0.25 cup Maple syrup (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Place a 10-inch ovenproof skillet or cast-iron pan into the oven to heat while you prepare the batter.

Step 2

In a blender, combine eggs, milk, flour, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Blend on high speed for about 30 seconds until the mixture is smooth and frothy. Alternatively, whisk the ingredients vigorously in a bowl until well combined.

Step 3

Carefully remove the hot skillet from the oven and add the butter. Swirl the pan to let the butter melt and coat the bottom and sides.

Step 4

Pour the prepared batter into the hot skillet and immediately place it back in the oven.

Step 5

Bake for 20 minutes, or until the pancake is puffed up and golden brown. Avoid opening the oven door while baking to prevent the puff from collapsing.

Step 6

Remove the skillet from the oven and let the pancake cool slightly (it will deflate as it cools).

Step 7

Dust the pancake generously with powdered sugar and serve directly from the skillet.

Step 8

Top with fresh berries, fruits, or drizzle with maple syrup if desired. Slice into wedges to serve.
