Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Pork steaks
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Water

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly grease it or spray with cooking spray.

Step 2

Pat the pork steaks dry with a paper towel to ensure proper searing and seasoning adherence.

Step 3

In a small bowl, mix the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Rub the spice mixture evenly onto both sides of the pork steaks.

Step 4

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Sear the pork steaks for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown. This locks in the flavor and gives them a nice crust. Transfer the steaks to the prepared baking sheet.

Step 5

To make the glaze, stir together the brown sugar, soy sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, and water in a small bowl. Mix until well combined.

Step 6

Brush a generous amount of the glaze over the top of each seared pork steak.

Step 7

Cover the baking sheet tightly with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for 35 minutes.

Step 8

Remove the foil and brush the pork steaks with any leftover glaze or baste with the juices from the baking sheet. Increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C) and bake for another 10 minutes, uncovered, to caramelize the glaze.

Step 9

Remove the pork steaks from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

Step 10

Serve warm with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.
