Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 4 oz Sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp Onion powder
  • 8 Slider buns
  • 8 leaves Lettuce leaves
  • 8 slices Tomato slices
  • 8 slices Pickle slices
  • 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp Ketchup

Directions

Step 1

In a medium mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently with your hands until evenly combined, but do not overwork the meat.

Step 2

Cut the sharp cheddar cheese into 8 small cubes, about 1/2 inch on each side.

Step 3

Divide the seasoned ground beef mixture into 8 equal portions. Flatten each portion into a thin patty approximately 3 inches in diameter.

Step 4

Place a cube of cheddar cheese in the center of each patty. Fold the edges of the meat around the cheese cube, sealing it completely and gently reshaping into a ball or small, compact patty.

Step 5

Preheat a large skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the surface to prevent sticking.

Step 6

Cook the sliders for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked through. The cheese inside should have melted to create a gooey center. Avoid overcooking to keep the beef juicy.

Step 7

While the sliders cook, lightly toast the slider buns if desired.

Step 8

Assemble the sliders by spreading mayonnaise and ketchup on the bottom buns. Place a lettuce leaf, tomato slice, and pickle slice on top of each. Add a cooked slider patty and close with the top bun.

Step 9

Serve immediately while hot and enjoy your Outside In Cheddar Sliders!
