  • 500 grams beef chuck (cubed)
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (grated)
  • 2 cups carrots (sliced)
  • 1 medium red bell pepper (sliced)
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 3 cups brown or jasmine rice (cooked)
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 3 stalks green onions (sliced)
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Step 2

In a large bowl, toss the beef cubes with soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and black pepper. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the beef cubes until browned on all sides. Remove the beef and set aside.
