Ingredients

  • 4 pieces bone-in pork chops
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 pieces garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Directions

Step 1

Season the pork chops on both sides with salt, black pepper, and ground paprika.

Step 2

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown. Remove the pork chops and set aside.

Step 3

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds, being careful not to burn it.

Step 4

Stir in the orange juice, orange zest, honey, and soy sauce. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.

Step 5

In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Slowly pour the slurry into the orange sauce, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens slightly.

Step 6

Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Cover and let them cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

Step 7

Remove the pork chops from the skillet and let them rest for 2-3 minutes.

Step 8

Garnish with fresh parsley, and serve the pork chops with the orange sauce drizzled over the top. Pair with rice, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
