Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Pork chops (bone-in or boneless)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 cup Orange juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 tablespoon Orange zest
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Water
  • 2 sprigs Fresh rosemary (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Season the pork chops on both sides with salt and black pepper.

Step 3

In a large, oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.

Step 4

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and pour in the orange juice. Add the orange zest, minced garlic, soy sauce, and honey. Stir well and allow the mixture to simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Step 5

In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Gradually add the slurry to the skillet while stirring, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.

Step 6

Return the seared pork chops to the skillet, spooning the orange glaze over them. If using, add sprigs of fresh rosemary for extra flavor.

Step 7

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork chops reaches 145°F (63°C).

Step 8

Once done, remove the skillet from the oven and let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Step 9

Serve the orange pork chops with the sauce drizzled over them. Pair them with rice, roasted vegetables, or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
