Ingredients

  • 4 cups Broccoli florets
  • 0.5 cup Fresh orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon Orange zest
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger, minced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Water
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Wash and cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets.

Step 2

In a small bowl, whisk together orange juice, orange zest, soy sauce, honey, and cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water until smooth. Set aside.

Step 3

Heat a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Add sesame oil, then sauté minced garlic and ginger for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Step 4

Add the broccoli florets to the pan, and season with salt and black pepper. Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until the broccoli is tender-crisp.

Step 5

Pour the orange-ginger sauce into the skillet, and toss the broccoli to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and glazes the broccoli.

Step 6

Remove from heat and transfer to a serving dish.

Step 7

Sprinkle with sesame seeds for garnish, if desired, and serve warm.
