Ingredients

  • 4 whole Oranges
  • 1 cup Whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh orange juice
  • 4 sprigs Fresh mint leaves

Directions

Step 1

Wash and dry the oranges thoroughly.

Step 2

Slice off the top 1/3 of each orange (horizontally) and set the tops aside. Using a spoon, gently scoop out the inside of the oranges, being careful not to puncture the peel. Reserve the orange flesh and juice in a bowl.

Step 3

Strain the orange juice from the pulp using a fine-mesh sieve and measure out 2 tablespoons of juice. Set aside.

Step 4

In a mixing bowl, whip the whipping cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add the powdered sugar and continue to whip until stiff peaks form.

Step 5

Gently fold in the vanilla extract and the 2 tablespoons of fresh orange juice until well combined.

Step 6

Spoon or pipe the whipped cream mixture into the hollowed-out orange cups, filling them generously.

Step 7

Place the tops of the oranges back onto each orange cup for presentation, if desired.

Step 8

Chill the filled orange cups in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes before serving.

Step 9

Garnish each orange cup with a sprig of fresh mint before serving. Enjoy!
