Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup Raw cashews
  • 0.5 cup Peanuts
  • 0.25 cup Grated coconut
  • 2 pieces Green chilies
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 2 pieces Garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Tamarind paste
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Vegetable oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 piece Dried red chili
  • 8 pieces Curry leaves

Directions

Step 1

In a dry skillet, lightly toast the cashews and peanuts over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until they are golden and aromatic. Let them cool slightly.

Step 2

Combine the toasted cashews, peanuts, grated coconut, green chilies, ginger, garlic cloves, tamarind paste, salt, and water in a blender.

Step 3

Blend until smooth, adding a little more water if needed to reach your desired consistency.

Heat vegetable oil in a small pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and let them pop.
